General

Club Atlético Osasuna, or CA Osasuna for short, is a Spanish football club based in Pamplona (Basque Iruñea or Iruña) in Navarra. The club was formed on October 24, 1920 from the merger of Sportiva and New Club. The Basque word "Osasuna" means "health" or "strength". The team wears red jerseys, blue shorts and black socks as the home kit. CA Osasuna is equally owned by club members and has never been incorporated, just like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao.

Home games are played at the Estadio El Sadar, which opened in 1967 and has a capacity of 17,286 spectators. In December 2005, the stadium was renamed "Reyno de Navarra", which means "Kingdom of Navarre", in reference to the regional tourism slogan. CA Osasuna was the first Spanish football club to change the name of its stadium due to a sponsorship deal. Since 2012, however, the venue has borne its old name again.
