Leicester City Football Club is a professional football club based in Leicester, in the East Midlands of England. The club play in the Premier League, the highest division in the English football league system, and play their home games at the King Power Stadium.

The club was founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse FC and played at a field near Fosse Road. In 1891 the club moved to Filbert Street Stadium, were elected to the Football League in 1894 and changed their name to Leicester City in 1919. In 2002, the club relocated to nearby Walkers Stadium, which was renamed King Power Stadium in 2011.

Leicester won the Premier League in the 2015-16 season and are one of only seven clubs to have won the Premier League since its inception in 1992. The title win was widely dubbed a "football fairy tale" and drew worldwide attention. The club's previous highest league finish was second place in the top division in the 1928-29 season, then known as the First Division. Leicester have seven Second Division titles, a joint record at this level of English football.

The club have appeared in the FA Cup final five times and won their first title in 2021. The club has also won the League Cup three times in 1964, 1997 and 2000.
