Unione Sportiva Lecce, or US Lecce for short, is an Italian football club based in the southern Italian city of Lecce. The club colors are yellow and red and home games are played at the Stadio Via del Mare. The club was founded in 1908 as Sporting Club Lecce and merged with two other clubs in 1927 to form Unione Sportiva Lecce. The club's greatest achievement was ninth place in Serie A in 1989. US Lecce is known as the lift team between Serie A and Serie B. In the 2018/19 season, the club managed to progress from Serie C to Serie A .
