General

ACF Fiorentina, also known as AC Florence, is a traditional Italian football company founded in Florence in 1926. The team plays in purple and white jerseys and is often referred to simply as La Viola, due to the distinctive color of their jerseys. Another name for the club is I Gigliati, which alludes to the coat of arms of Florence, which shows three lilies.

Fiorentina has a successful history in Italian football, having won two leagues, six cups and one Supercup. In the 1960/61 season, the team also won the European Cup Winners' Cup, which is their greatest international success to date.

Fiorentina's home games are played at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, which has a capacity of around 43,000 and is one of the most famous stadiums in Italy. The club has a large fan base in Florence and beyond and is known for its passionate supporters who clamor to support the team at every game.

Revenues and annual results AC Florence in the financial years 2015/16 to 2021/22

ACF Fiorentina's revenue has increased significantly in recent years. In the 2015/16 financial year, revenues amounted to 139.80 million, while they rose to 233.23 million in the 2021/22 financial year. The reason for this is, among other things, the transfer sale of Dusan Vlahovic for 81.60 million euros to Juventus Turin. The club's annual result has been negative in some years, indicating that Fiorentina has made losses in those years.

In the 2019/20 and 2018/19 financial years in particular, the annual result was clearly negative. In the 2016/17 financial year, Fiorentina achieved a positive annual result, which is probably due to a successful season. That year the team reached the final of the Coppa Italia.
